Frequently Asked Questions
- 012026 membership rates increased approximately 2-5% (depending on membership type) as a result of increasing operational costs such as minimum wage, chlorine, and vendor services. Bonded members enjoy lower rates! Please contact us to learn more about a bonded membership.
- 02Joining as a bonded member requires a one-time payment of $600 which is a security deposit. You would also be responsible for paying annual dues at the bonded rates, which are lower than non-bonded rates. As a bonded member, you would have voting rights which would allow you to vote on Board of Trustee nominations and infrastructure or capital improvements/repairs. The security deposit is refundable at the time of resignation. Bonded members who do not join for a season will be required to resign before September 1 of that year or forfeit their bond by default. A written letter or email is required in order to request your refund.
- 03Bonded members who do not join for 2026 will be required to resign before September 1, 2026, or forfeit their bond by default.
- 04We anticipate being able to open by Memorial Day weekend. However, in the event restrictions or other circumstances do not allow us to do so, dues will not be prorated. The costs to open and maintain the pool and grounds, as well as club insurance fees, remain unchanged.
- 05Yes, members are allowed to bring guests at a fee of $18 per guest aged 2 and older. There are NO REFUNDS for guest's fees. If we close early due to inclement weather, you are welcome to return with your guest later on the same day that you purchased the guest pass, assuming we reopen. There are no rainchecks for another day. Members may not, under any circumstance, leave guests at the pool if the member leaves the property. Adult members cannot leave Teen guests at the pool. Teen members are not permitted to bring guests. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow OSC rules. The Board of Trustees or Management reserves the right to restrict guest passes at any time in order to comply with capacity guidelines.
- 06No. However, from time to time the Board of Trustees has opened a Day Pass option during low attendance days toward the end of the summer. Those are limited and announced at the last minute.
- 07No, dues will not be refunded but the board may revisit based on the circumstance.
- 08No, dues are not refundable. The Oradell Swim Club relies on its membership dues as its primary ability to operate based on the commitment of its members.
- 09At this time, we are not planning for a month-by-month membership.
- 10At this time, we do not plan to close registration given we have a high capacity for membership.

- 12The OSC’s preferred method of communication is email. In the event of inclement weather or other circumstances that affect pool availability, the club will notify members via email and/or text message through CommunityPass. All members are encouraged to sign up for the text messaging feature in CommunityPass when registering or renewing their membership.
